Event Details

Denialism is choosing to deny reality as a way to avoid an uncomfortable truth; evolution or creation, climate change or conspiracy, vaccination or not?

So how do you present the issues, current theories, and research to the public in a balanced, informed way, when you may have to compete with dis- and misinformation, and fear?

Are we approaching this issue in the right way? And if our approach is not working, what would? Come and join us to discuss Dealing with Denialism at our ASCSA monthly.

Our Guests include Dr Ian Musgrave of the School of Pharmacology, University of Adelaide, and Ben Heard of Think Climate Consulting.

Members include journalists and broadcasters employed by major media outlets, freelance writers and consultants, scientists, teachers and public affairs officers working for research organisations, laboratories and universities.
